Welcome to Failsworth School

As Headteacher I am proud to welcome you to Failsworth School, a Specialist Sports College. We have just moved into a super state of the art learning environment which offers high quality education to all our students. Our style of education reinforces the basic values of good manners, good discipline and respect, but provides a personalised education to enable all our students to take their proper place in society in the 21st Century. The school is open to both boys and girls of all abilities.
 
Our commitment is to educate every student to his or her maximum potential and to report in each person habits of self discipline, sense of responsibility and respect for others. Dicipline is placed upon values. Students learn to respect and value each other. We take pride in our appearance, in our fitness, in our behaviour and in our work. Individual achievement is expected and we believe that all young people should succeed.
 
There could not be a better time to be a member of the community of Failsworth School for three reasons:
  1. The opportunities that a new £28 million school will bring.
  2. The considerable success as Sports College has brought to the school in raising achievement and aspirations of our students.
  3. The academic success which the school has recently enjoyed being in the top 5% of all schools for value added between Key Stages 3 and 4.
