At Failsworth School, there are 100 teachers and approximately 70 key workers who support the life of the school in a variety of ways. We are used to seeing Learning Mentors, Supervisors and the Pupil Services team working with students on a daily basis, but what about the key workers who work behind the scenes? This team is vital to the school's success.
There are the receptionists, who are the first point of contact for all visitors and phone enquiries. Not an easy job with a phone system that is overloaded and out-of-date.
There is an excellent team of Site Management staff and cleaners, and the Catering Manager leads a team of catering assistants in both Upper and Lower School kitchens.
We are also fortunate to have an excellent Administration team who ioffer teachers and students an efficient service that enables the school to run smoothly. Add to this a Reprographics Manager, a Display Co-ordinator, a Finance team, a Vocational Placement Co-ordinator and LRC (Library) staff, and you will begin to understand why these people are key to our success.
