Enrichment
|
Failsworth school is committed to the idea that all pupils should be given the opportunity to achieve their potential. We have recently taken a fresh look at the students' experience by focusing on their learning, rather than the teaching they receive. This has emphasised that there are many barriers to learning and unless these are addressed, our students can not reach their potential.
We have addressed this in a way unique to the Borough. By creating an Enrichment Cluster, which works alongside Learning Support and which oversees all the projects which previously were funded by Excellence in Cities, the inclusion of students of all abilities with a range of learning needs is being given a higher priority than ever before. In the past, EIC provided resources, training and borough-wide projects which have provided an invaluable foundation for the work we are doing in school. Oldham schools are committed to continuing the good work : at Failsworth all aspects of the project continue to receive funding.
