Governors

School Governors have a very important part to play in education at Failsworth School. Schools are mainly autonomous institutions with responsibility for standards, direction and budgets.

Governors support school staff and enable them to provide the best possible standards of education, helping children throughout the school realise their aspirations and dreams. In the main the Governing body meets after school in the early evenings and sometime long into the night. It is divided into Committees which look at Teaching and Learning, Pupil Behaviour, School Developments, Finance and Premesis and Personnel and Pay.

We are very grateful to all our Governors for their time and dedication which they give freely to benefit all students at the school. Click on the link below for a list of the current Governing Body:
The Clerk to the Governing Body is Mrs Judy Killion who can be contacted at the Centre for Professional Development, Rosary Road, Fitton Hill, Oldham.

The Chair of the Governing Body, Councillor Johnson, can be contacted via the school.
